Do note that your license plate number is usually displayed on the ticket (taken by the camera when you enter the lot). You will use that same ticket/voucher to exit the lot. When parking at any of the airport lots, you will receive a ticket/voucher before passing through the gate.

Each airline also has it's own assigned baggage claim belt so if you're arriving at CMH, you'll end up going to the same belt every time. Each airline has it's own assigned gates so if you're a frequent traveler of any particular airline through CMH, you'll always end up in the same general area. Columbus Airport PreCheckĬolumbus Airport does have PreCheck lines, but sometimes they may be closed if the TSA is lacking in staff for that particular time of day. There has been days in which it has been busy, but nothing that would make you risk missing your flight if you got to the airport an hour or two before your flight (as you're supposed to do). This will usually take you to the main entrance of the airport, but if your map takes traffic into account, it could take you the back way using Sawyer Rd. If you're coming from south I-270, I recommend taking the back entrance to the airport via Hamilton Road (OH-317) as you will encounter less traffic. If you have a flight departing between those high traffic hours, I highly recommend you give yourself a little bit of extra time. There is currently road construction at the I-670/I-270 intersection which adds to the traffic as well. Airport and Surrounding Area Trafficĭuring the work week, the traffic on I-670 is heavy between the hours of 6am to 9am and the hours of 3pm and 6pm (EST local time). After passing a traffic light for Swanson/Tech Center Dr, you will see Sawyer Rd on your right (with a golf course being on the left). Once you get off at the exit, you will want to head south. You can get to Hamilton off of I-270 by taking exit 37. The back entrance can be access off of Hamilton Road (OH-317). The main road is International Gateway and it can be access either by taking exit 9 on I-670 or by coming down Stelzer road from the north or south.
